Predicted Starting Line Up vs Tottenham

The big games keep on coming thick and fast, with us now in a 6 game sprint to the end of the season. 4 Premier League games, the FA Cup final and the Champions League final to come in the final 3 weeks of the season.

Is the Quadruple possible? Absolutely. But as usual let’s take it one game at a time, give maximum effort and see where that leaves us at the end of the season.

The Premier League title is obviously not in our hands but winning our games could put City under pressure which hopefully leads to them dropping points. Next up for us is Tottenham Hotspur. They are currently in 5th position, 2 points away from Arsenal in 4th place. This is a big game for them today too and their likely tactics will be to sit deep and counter attack with their rapid attack.

Fitness Update: With Bobby Firmino back in full training, we have no injury issues ahead of the continued packed schedule.

Prediction: Liverpool 2 – 1 Tottenham. As I mentioned above, I think Spurs will sit deep and try to counter but I think we have the right players to be able to deal with that threat. I think our attack will have too much for their defence too but it will be a tough game.

Onto the Starting Line Ups:

My team features 4 changes to the team that took to the field against Villarreal in midweek. Matip, Tsimikas, Henderson and Diaz start with Konate, Robertson (badly in need of a rest), Keita and Jota dropping to the bench. We have great squad depth.

Christian: Six games left and todays game is massive with Spurs fighting for the fourth spot and a place in the Champions League. Rest assured that Antonio Conte will do all he can with his team to get a good result. With Kane, Son and Dejan they have a great striking force so Matip will be needed in our backline again we looked not as good vs Villareal so we need him at his best since Spurs will attack Trent with Son attacking the space behind him. Kane will go for Matip most likely so again Joel will be key. I hope Diaz starts since he is so amazing to watch. My starting eleven would be this. COYR.

Paul: I think the one thing to take from the first half against Villarreal is that Hendo offers cover to Trent that Keita just can’t give, and for me we need to use him in the biggest games remaining. Diaz gets the start up front he deserves, and I think Klopp will start Jota to prove he wasn’t at fault on Wednesday despite getting sacrificed at half time. Mane has played a lot of games and a rest will do him good. Another big, big game. We need to get the 3 points to put pressure on City when they kick off on Sunday.

Joe: I’m going with Paul’s eleven.

There you have it folks, our predicted line ups. Let us know what you think and enjoy the game.

Come on Redmen! Allez, Allez, Allez!!
